Position Title: Business Line Leader - Shutters

Reports To: General Manager

Are you looking for an opportunity to make an impact with your Business Leadership skills? Join the CVI Team as a Business Line Leader where you’ll have the opportunity to drive growth for the Shutters Business Line.

This job position requires compliance with ITAR Regulations. Therefore, all employees working in this capacity must meet citizenship status. Per the CVI Laser, LLC Export Controls Policy and Procedure, the employee must be a U.S. Citizen or a U.S. Permanent Resident.​

Overview: The Business Line Leader has P&L responsibility for the Shutters line of business with direct responsibility for sales and product management while partnering with Engineering and Operations to achieve growth and profitability targets for the segment. The BLL will formulate and execute an integrated set of strategies that positions the product line to create sustainable advantage and superior value relative to the competition - achieved through the development of great teams and talent, embracing the principles of 8020, and driving a culture focused on solving our customers’ problems. Travel is estimated at 30 - 50%

Responsibilities:

Leadership, Talent and Team Development:

  • Develops an effective team-based culture where the business line focuses on the critical few, achieves its commitments and wins with an outstanding team.

  • Fosters an expectation and delivers consistent achievement of sales, financial, and operating targets in a highly collaborative team.

  • Encourages stretch thinking to drive breakthrough results.

  • Establishes a continuous improvement mindset supported by strong execution of lean toolsets.

  • Builds a culture of trust and accountability within team.

  • Acts with a high level of personal integrity and personally leads an inclusive & diverse team environment.

Strategy & Sales Leadership:

  • Sets and communicates strategic direction for the business line.

  • Drives business line growth in key strategic markets & customers.

  • Identifies new business opportunities (NBO) which align strategically and financially to the strategy. Effectively manage and execute the NBO Funnel stages.

  • Guides the prioritization of new product opportunities and recommends development plans.

  • Works with our Global sales team to coordinate efforts for international sales channels.

  • Leads all North American sales and oversees business line sales forecasts and tactical plans required to achieve forecasted results.

  • Monitors competitive landscape, aligning strategy and tactics based on competitor moves.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Management, Operations or Marketing

  • Minimum 5 years of successful experience in an operations leadership and/or sales/product management role.

  • The successful candidate must have a proven track record, demonstrated by a progressive level of growth in responsibility and successful demonstration of leadership/business competencies.

  • Well-rounded commercial, product management, and operations acumen, with proven team leadership and development skills.
