Regional Sales Manager—North East
Remote (based anywhere within the New England / Mid-Atlantic Region)
Business Line Director
The Regional Sales Manager is responsible for driving the sales strategy & revenue within their assigned accounts/assigned region. This individual will drive the organization to improve its business processes to ensure better market support of its region overall and improved customer engagements. This role will have responsibility for territory management, which is comprised of a limited number of strategic customers supported independently of distribution as well as customers supported through regional distributor organizations.
1). Primary Accountability is to meet/exceed the Regional Revenue plan in assigned territory and through teaming with designated accounts
2). Assist in developing and implementing growth strategies and initiatives within their territory as defined by VP Sales/Product Leadership. RSM/ is responsible for driving growth in both OEM and Distribution Channels as indicated by assigned accounts
3). RSM/Dist Mgr is responsible for the effective utilization of factory resources to support customer programs/customer satisfaction and to drive new business opportunity (NBO) growth in the region
4). Provide technical and selling expertise to AD’s at target customers to maintain existing business and to drive NBO closure at existing and new customers; This includes supporting new product introduction (NPI) process by teaming with AD’s to develop target customer list and deploy a campaign around NBO development
5). Drive effective NBO generation activities through lead qualification and teaming with the reps/AD’s which results in capturing new business revenue in the AD’s defined region
6). Responsible for building strategic management/executive relationships with key customers to support the overall strategy with the customer. This involves the development of effective relationships to empower Catalog Distribution strategy and growth and includes regular leadership review of commitments and achievements to better align our mutual companies around agreed targets
• A minimum of 5 years of commercial experience dealing with OEMs and/or distribution
• Ability to communicate at all levels of the organization
• Ability to develop business through 3rd party engagements (AD’s, Manuf Reps, System Integrators)
• Ability to work successfully in a multi-cultural, global business environment
• BS in engineering or related discipline required
• In addition, this position requires an individual to be selected based on the following additional criteria:
• Proficient at translating technical product information into sales strategy to drive revenue
• Successful experience calling on Senior Management at Customers and Distribution partners.
• Superior written and verbal communication skills & presentation skills
• This position requires a highly motivated, self-confident individual of the highest integrity who possesses a wide range of knowledge, skills, and abilities
