Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
This position will be responsible for providing comprehensive support for a limited number of critical customers of Advanced Thin Films. This position will be responsible for providing customers with timely and accurate problem solutions and building and deepening relationships as a result. This requires thoroughly understanding the advantages of Advanced Thin Films’ superior products and capabilities, as well as the ability to ask insightful questions to probe customer needs and requirements. This position will be required to effectively manage and communicate their sales funnel through understanding customer opportunity status and schedules. This position will be responsible for working closely and regularly with inside sales, engineers, planning, and manufacturing in order to provide obsessive customer support through the entire sales process. Additionally:
-Use established sales tools to achieve sales objectives. Scope includes receiving and giving trainings (sales training for department associates and product training for the Customer), use of custom-developed pricing tools and any other relevant training that enhances profitable business growth.
-Establish and regularly maintain and update annual sales plans and forecasts for each channel of responsibility. These plans will align with the three year strategic plan.
-Use data and analytics to determine root causes of successes and setbacks commercially and financially, and continue to refine the sales plans based on data and an understanding of customer program schedules and new opportunities, as they arise.
-Develop a deep understanding of customer segmentation, pain points and trends. Identify high-potential markets and market segments, and propose market penetration strategies.
-Define and drive account retention and growth strategies by:
-understanding and defining customers 'requirements and objectives;
-developing and articulating effective value propositions;
-understanding and articulating competitive counter-positioning;
-meeting and exceeding key business targets such as sales orders, revenue, margins, customer satisfaction and retention, and new business development.
-Establish and maintain strong customer and stakeholder relationships.
-Drive customer support and interaction throughout the sales process, including providing trustworthy feedback and after-sales support.
-Requires minimum bachelor's degree in a technical discipline (Physical Science or Engineering) and/or a business discipline (Administration or Marketing) with at least 4 years of experience in the High Power Lasers market.
-Deep knowledge of the Laser Optics and their applications.
-Experience in a component or sub-system product environment selling to OEM instrument manufacturers, or for complete OEM instrument products for sale to end-users of such equipment, highly desirable.
-Strong manufacturing business acumen and comprehensive understanding of order-to-cash processes.
-Experience with Defense Customers is a Plus.
