Summary: Reporting to the business unit’s Commercial Vice President, the Customer Service and Technical Sales Manager will be responsible for managing the Customer Service and Technical Sales teams, and all associated processes and procedures. This critical member of the commercial management team will work closely with all other commercial, operational and administrative management teams on the achievement of long term strategic goals and annual operating plan commitments.
Major Tasks and Responsibilities:
Manage the Customer service and inside technical sales teams
Manage all customers service and inside technical sales processes and procedures
Owns and updates all policies and procedures in relation to customer service and inside sales
Ensures order entry velocity is aligned with demand, and recommends/ implements action when goals are not met
Works with internal cross functional groups on coordination of efforts to achieve annual operating plan objectives
Conducts daily analytics to ensure order entry accuracy and velocity
Develop team members to achieve optimal department results and behaviors. Strive to develop scalable talent for internal BU promotion or export to other IDEX BU’s
Validate debit and credit memos for processing
Ensures all orders follow US or international regulations and/or restrictions
Ownership and documentation trail responsibility of ERP customer master file
Responsible for accuracy of orders in ERP system
- Works with senior leadership team on strategy development by providing inputs and recommendations from functional area responsibility.

- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Engineering, or Business and a minimum of two years of experience in a commercial facing role
People management experience
General understanding of ERP operating systems
Preferred JD Edwards system experience
Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
Formal presentation skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office
Candidate must work out of the Crawfordsville, IN location
Travel up to 10% may be required
