The Product Manager leads and manages all aspects of the company’s product portfolio by executing product, pricing, placement, and promotional strategies.

Major Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Drive product portfolio leadership, development, and execution in support of strategic goals

  • Formulate, execute, and maintain product line strategies, product plans, and project hopper roadmaps by understanding customer requirements and translating that insight into compelling business cases

  • Develop market insight by understanding changing market dynamics; including emerging technologies, evolving customer wants and needs, and a changing competitive landscape;applying learnings to NPD effort, 8020 discipline, and channel strategies

  • Investigate, select, and drive the development of new products utilizing company’s product development process, serving as commercial champion on project teams

  • Reduce / rationalize product line complexity via 8020 principles

  • Determine new product pricing and manage and optimize pricing of product portfolio with keen understanding of interrelationships among product lines, market factors, and growth and margin goals

  • Work closely with engineering team to facilitate new product development and sustaining product management efforts

  • Support sales team in commercial initiatives, pricing strategies, and channel and customer matters

  • Administer Sales, Inventory, and Operations Planning (SIOP) using various internal sales, market, and production data as well as forecast tools to optimize operational efficiency and reduce customer lead times

  • Conduct financial analysis to support new product development strategy, commercial initiatives, and other related activities

  • Create entire spectrum of sales tools and collateral (customer value proposition, sales and data sheets, white papers, customer case studies, demos) to communicate product value propositions

  • Work closely with others on the marketing team to craft, design, and implement marketing strategy and initiatives including promotional and marketing efforts, social media, training programs, trade show strategy / implementation, annual catalog and price book development, and website management

Skills and Experience


  • Bachelor’s degree

  • Minimum three years of product management and/or marketing experience

  • Experience developing new products

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills


  • MBA

  • Engineering / technical background, specifically in valves and fluid management systems
