SUMMARY OF JOB RESPONSIBILITIES :
Sales Manager will focus on selling band clamping, hose clamping, and identification products to the hose and rubber industry for hose and fitting attachment. A strong focus on new business development and expanding existing customer’s wallet share is key to success in this role.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Develop and execute a Time & Territory Plan that will enable contact with all existing customers and any new potential customers.
Identify, document and follow up sales leads and new customer opportunities.
Act as subject matter expert in hose and rubber industry with active involvement with NAHAD.
Maintain a current customer contact information and manage leads using MSCRM.
Active data analysis of account activity to identify up/down accounts, risks, and opportunities.
Gather, consolidate, and communicate market intel.Formulate and communicate countermeasure plans.
Prepare pre-call documentation, post-call trip reports, and action plans to manage follow up/strategic initiatives.
Provide product training as required.
Conduct, on average, 5 face-to-face/web-based sales calls per week, focusing on high-impact customers.
Assess, monitor, and communicate competitive activity along with proposed countermeasures where applicable.
Participate in communicating and resolving customer complaints and product returns and issues.All such complaints and product issues to be documented and tracked through the appropriate processes.
Use value selling approach and tools as available and applicable.
Assist in determining, documenting and communicating the requirements of current and/or targeted new customers/products (Voice of the Customer) into the organization.Work closely with Product Management to gather, clarify, and communicate unmet customer needs.
Coordinate and work closely with Inside Sales/Customer Service to optimize and maintain a high level of customer service.
Meet or exceed all sales plans for assigned market.
Recommend, prepare and secure approval for pricing and quotations when necessary.
Manage tool agreements including tool repair and loaners.
Recommend and attend / participate in approved customer events such as supplier shows, field sales meetings, conventions and events within geography, utilizing additional internal resources as required.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND REQUIRED ABILITIES:
Business to business and hose/rubber distribution sales experience required
Relevant experience and established relationships within the hose and rubber industry required.
Strong technical aptitude
Strong relationship-building and interpersonal skills
Excellent presentation and communication skills, both verbal and written
Ability to go beyond catalog sales to scope, imagine, and provide customized solutions based on monetized total value to the customer.
Self-starter, with strong sales drive, highly accountable, detail oriented, and consistent follow through
SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITY:
Defined market is Industrial Hose in USA and Canada and consists of a defined set of targeted distribution and OEM account. Focus is on BAND-IT’s Hose Attachment distribution markets and their customers. Coordinate and interface with all functions / departments of BAND-IT HQ in Denver, Colorado.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Business preferred
3-5 years of successful, directly relevant selling and industry experience (hose/rubber/industrial products) strongly preferred.
Successful experience selling to / supporting diverse types and sizes of industrial distributors preferred.
Demonstrated track record of consistently achieving or exceeding sales targets using a value-selling, solution-provider, customerfocused approach.
Strong interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability in relationship building, both customers and internally.
Must be a hunter , adept at building and maintaining a pipeline of opportunities.
Proficient in “value selling” concepts and tools.Must be able to develop and effectively present value-added solutions as sales proposals to a variety of stakeholders / decision makers in the target companies.
Demonstrated ability to handle multiple projects, tasks and details simultaneously.
Proven ability to work remotely but in line with company guidelines, policies, processes and plans.
Presentable; must convey professional image of self and the company.
Ability to handle high stress situations and respond and communicate in a calm and professional manner.
Thrives on the challenge of identifying, developing, and closing new business opportunities.
