Summary

The Marketing Manager executes market research to communicate market trends to internal stakeholders and develop value propositions to support sales activities. Additionally, this expert is responsible for the development and supervision of all marketing and communications strategies for the company. This person understands Toptech products, customers, competitors, and the overall industry and shares this knowledge with the Toptech sales team, department leaders, and more. This person uses their findings to advise leadership on the direction of the company. The ideal candidate has excellent written and verbal communication skills and is self-motivated, curious, and highly collaborative.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (other duties may be assigned)

  • Seek and provide information to help determine Toptech’s product positioning and messaging (the value of Toptech to its customers and potential customers).

  • Conduct opinion surveys and needs assessments, including Voice of Customer (VOC), and translate findings into new product ideas, improvements, and messaging.

  • Collect competitive intelligence and analyze their prices, sales, and methods of marketing and distribution.

  • Initiate or analyze market research studies and communicate the findings to key internal stakeholders.

  • Monitor external affairs or events affecting business operations.

  • Measure the effectiveness of marketing, advertising, and communications programs and strategies.

  • Work with senior staff on strategy and direction based on your expertise of market trends and insights.

  • Translate complex findings into written text, presentations, and sales literature to communicate product value.

  • Use various methods and procedures for collecting data, such as surveys, opinion polls, questionnaires, interviews, and internet research.

  • Develop and execute on integrated marketing plans based on knowledge of Toptech goals and market characteristics. Plans could include social media strategy, video, events, trade magazine advertising, online advertising, promotions, website creation, articles, and more.

  • Source relevant information for plan execution from subject matter experts, including department directors, developers, the sales team, the General Manager, and more.

  • Coordinate activities with outside parties such as customers, channel partners, and vendors for activities such as website creation, events, and articles.

  • Understand the differences in market needs around the world and ensure marketing efforts address each regions unique needs.

  • Write and maintain copy for websites, social media pages, directories, and more.

  • Plan and coordinate trade shows, promotional activities, and the annual User Conference

  • Work with team to adhere to brand standards.

  • Develop and execute on strategies for increased SEO such as LinkedIn posts, website articles, email newsletters, etc.

  • Innovative and creative: Come up with new ideas to promote Toptech Systems and show good judgment about which creative ideas and suggestions will work.

Education and/or Experience

BA (or similar) in marketing, business, or equivalent experience. 5 years product management experience, including strong analytical skills and a track record of creating and executing on integrated marketing plans.
