IDEX Field Service Representative - After Sales in Mansfield, Ohio

Summary: Responsible for providing technical sales assistance to help drive incremental growth by solving domestic & international customer pain points in customer applications. Assist in providing customer technical support to both internal and external Warren Rupp team members.

Major Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Answer incoming calls and emails, which could include the following: troubleshooting, installation questions and technical issues

  • Manage and lead internal and external pump schools, service schools both virtually and in-person

  • Issue and record RGA numbers for returned goods

  • Assists in warranty inspection and evaluation

  • Evaluate and write estimates on products returned for repair or restock.

  • Input information on pumps, parts, and accessories into database and maintains log referencing RGA numbers

  • Repair pumps returned for service

  • Assist with reports and projects as they arise

  • Maintain departmental logs and reports

  • Assist and support Application and Engineering needs that arise

  • Travel with other knowledgeable WRI personnel and perform on site service and repair

Other Responsibilities:

  • Participate in CPI activities.

  • Collect data for predetermined metrics.

  • Participate in cross training.

  • Maintain a clean and organized repair area

  • All other duties as assigned.

Process Owner’s Minimum Requirements:

Education:

  • Associate degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience

Experience:

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office, specifically Outlook & Excel

  • Knowledge of JDE

  • Working with hand tools, manual and mechanical

  • Experience in Technical Trainings or Service Industry Training

  • Prior AODD Experience preferred

Specific skills, knowledge, and/or licenses:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Presentation Skills

  • Software knowledge of Microsoft Office programs

  • Knowledge of diaphragm pumps and the ability to disassemble and reassemble Warren Rupp pumps.

Working Conditions:

  • Regularly required to talk or hear; use hands, handle, or feel; and sit for extended periods of time

  • Occasionally required to stand; walk and reach with hands and arms

  • Noise levels can be loud

  • May be exposed to grease, dirt, water, and other materials/chemicals used within the products

  • Work in different weather conditions

  • Must be willing to travel up to 20% of time

  • Short notice of travel may be required (24hrs)
