POSITION TITLE : National Industrial Accounts Manager
REPORTING TO: Industrial Channel Sales Manager – North America
LOCATION: Midwest – Benton Harbor, MI (Remote)

Scope of Role: The National Industrial Accounts Manager is responsible for driving growth and achieving business objectives in the catalog/MRO distribution channel for North America. Accounts supported include Grainger, Motion Industries, MSC and other national distributors. Responsibilities will consist of account management, tactical execution of strategic planning, organizational and analytical judgments specific to the sale of GAST product. The role will also be responsible for developing relationships with key decision makers within the large industrial distribution networks and partner with GAST’s channel to understand key applications and end users that utilize our product. The position will develop and implement a strategy to build channel management programs and marketing plans while optimizing profitability and growing market share. The candidate will have a strong background in communicating within all levels of decision makers, have a strong background in sales process and display the ability to work cross-functionally within a manufacturing environment.
The position requires up to 50% overnight travel (US & Canada).
Responsible for meeting and/or exceeding Annual Operating Plan objectives within the channel
Develop and implement a growth strategy for the catalog channel including the potential identification and onboarding of new distribution partners, as well as target and improve share with existing distributors
Understand current and future business environment, industry trends and customer needs in order to prioritize, target, and effectively grow existing and new distributors
Maintain a balance of building strong, collaborative relationships with distributors while maintaining GAST’s interests and goals as a top priority
Outline a targeted communication strategy with existing and new partners on GAST’s value proposition as well as capabilities and offerings to distributors
Evaluate, develop, and execute a ‘best-in-class’ content plan for each distributor’s website and e-commerce platforms
Provide accurate and timely forecast information to management on a monthly, quarterly, and yearly basis
Work cross-functionally with the commercial organization to inform and support efforts to drive growth initiatives
Negotiate pricing and contracts as required
Provide market and competitive intel to GAST Market Research Manager through customer interactions, prospecting, and attendance at industry tradeshows

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS OR EQUIVALENCIES:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or Engineering
At least five (5) years equivalent work experience in distribution sales in industrial markets and three (3) years of experience working with national accounts such as Grainger, Motion, MSC and others is preferred
Experience utilizing Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tools is preferred
Proven ability to work cross-functionally and message to all levels in the organization
Proven track record of delivering sales results
Pneumatic industry experience preferred
Strong personal leadership and experience working in manufacturing environment
Project management experience
Strong negotiation and contract review skills

Must be able to work well with customers and internal team members to lead positive change in a fast-paced work environment
