The Global Product and Marketing Leader will have primary responsibility for managing the profitability and growth for the Advanced Flow Solutions portfolio of brands. Included in this set of responsibilities is development of business, product, and marketing strategy, business case formulation and prioritization, planning and execution throughout the product lifecycle, defining the product roadmaps, and working closely with engineering, sales, operations and supply chain to ensure that revenue, profitability and customer satisfaction goals are met. This role has a significant leadership responsibility in ensuring key business programs are driven across all the functions in the business and will be a key leader in driving forward all aspects of the IDEX Operating Model with specific focus on 80/20 and Product Line Strategy and Innovation. This role is both a strategic leadership and people leadership role, with direct reports consisting of product and marketing managers.
Global Essential Functions
- Product line management
Lead team to formulate, execute, and maintain product line strategies, product plans, and product roadmaps based on customer and market insight.
Maximize the profitability for assigned product manufacturing assets using price, portfolio mix management, and regional and customer segmentation in alignment with the marketing and business strategy.
Owner of the multiyear strategic roadmap for the organization’s offering across all product lines.
Support development of annual operating plans and long-range plans that support growth and margin goals
- Price management and optimization
Lead team to set list pricing and guide price adjustments to maximize profitability
Owner of list price and pricing strategy for all SKUs across portfolio
- Product portfolio management
Optimize product portfolio across multiple assets.
Create a strategy to manage the product life cycle that deploys the 80/20 principles; active management to optimize price, rationalize low-performing products, deploy multigenerational plans to increase portfolio value, and select highly profitable or differentiated products to promote.
Joint ownership with technology of roadmap to ensure a healthy new product pipeline.
- Owner of products in the portfolio
Ensures new product setups are complete and that customer complaints are resolved effectively and efficiently across accountable product lines
Prioritize, approve, and manage communication of all product changes for assigned product lines
Manages crises related to unplanned supply issues, product performance in service, and/or customer requests
Develop and implement order management and prioritization during times of tight supply, which maximizes asset profitability
- Market research and intelligence
Leads team to collect and analyze market, customer and competitive intelligence data from external and internal sources.
Develop comprehensive understanding of market and technology trends and maintain thorough competitive analysis for the global market through end user visits, focus groups and market research
Research and identify customer base within a market along with channels to market
Provides top management with market value estimates, conditions and economic market forecasts
Lead customer feedback survey, develop action plans, and lead execution of action plans
- Marketing plan development
Leads development and implementation of marketing plans for all new product introductions.
Leads development of portfolio marketing plan incorporating all major product and service offerings for assigned business line.
- Market mix execution
Leads development and implementation of marketing initiatives for business line, including promotion, segment pricing strategies, and branding.
Builds strategic partnerships with customers and suppliers to ensure access to market and technology
Drives creation and implementation of marketing communication plan with communications
Leads strategy, planning, execution, and public facing activities for trade shows
Act as a key opinion leader in industry organizations and events
Drive process for lead generation and management through conversion to sales opportunities
- Market mapping and strategy
Systematically understands and maps new domains, adjacencies where IDEX can win accretive high-value sales and what is required to do so: different promotion approaches / audiences, new products, new technologies, strategic partnerships, new business models, acquisitions etc.
Supports sales and marketing director to develop strategies for key markets and ensures marketing plans align with these strategies

Plans daily activities within the guidelines of company policy, job description, and supervisor’s instruction in such a way as to maximize personal output

Required Education and Experience
Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, or Engineering.
10+ years of experience; +3 years of leadership experience in a commercial role required.
Clear and concise communication skills with all levels of the organization
Ability to lead and interact with cross functional teams
Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills
Demonstrated experience using data to driven optimization decisions
Demonstrate a consistent, dependable and positive work ethic
Demonstrated knowledge of product planning, product lifecycle management
Critical thinking and problem solving ability: synthesize findings from analysis and draw conclusions
Demonstrated knowledge of key financial metrics and business case development
Strong project management skills, solid analytical skills and attention to detail
Preferred Education and Experience
Master’s in Business Administration
Product management or marketing experience
