Position Summary:

This Regional Sales Manager position is responsible for the sale and support of Vetter to manage and support sales in the United States, service and Dealer and End-user Network for all product lines of Vetter. Position is responsible for expanding the content of Vetter products with existing customers and seeking out new sales opportunities. Position is also responsible to analyze and plan sales according to our 80 20 approach to new segments like HAZMAT, inflatable Tents, decontamination system and the military and industrial market.

Essential Functions:

The essential functions include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Assists OEM account sales force and product managers in developing sales school diploma / G.E.D with Five to Seven years experience (A.A. / A.S.) related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Language Skills

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Ability to write speeches and articles for publication that conform to prescribed style and format. Ability to effectively present information to

  • strategies and meeting administrative responsibilities to ensure that both critical to customer and critical to business goals are achieved. Develops and increases sales revenue to meet or exceed business unit sales growth and profitability initiatives.

  • Becomes actively involved in sales meetings and training programs for specific accounts. Acts as a resource to sales personnel in contract negotiations and new proposals. Develops marketing plans for specific territory and tracks progress of major projects.

  • Handle Trade shows and Distributor/OEM Open Houses and attend sales meetings.

  • Evaluate Distributor Performance and recommend new accounts, realignment or termination of accounts to achieve maximum market penetration.

  • Keep informed of new products, services and other general information of interest to customers.

  • Check on competitors’ activity and develops new sales strategies to offset competitors’ initiatives. Evaluate field product complaints and report on findings, as well as handle resolution of problems.

  • Recognizes customer needs and identifies new product and packaging solutions that would help grow sales with desired margins.

  • Assists with technical training, installation and service of product in the field.\

  • Performs other job-related duties and responsibilities as may be assigned from time to time.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Must be able to travel 50%-70% of the time

  • Must have a valid Driver’s license

  • Fire Industry Experience Preferred

  • Basic mechanical and pneumatic experience

Education and/or Experience

Three year sales experience an Associates degree (B.A. / B.S.) in Sales/Marketing or related field from four-year college or university or a high

top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors. Basic German language skills would be preferred.

Mathematical Skills

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

Reasoning Ability

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

Computer Skills

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Contact Management systems; Database software; Internet software; Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

Must hold a current driver's license with clean driving record.

Total Rewards

The compensation range for this position is $74,000.00 - $111,000.00, depending on experience. This position may be eligible for performance based bonus plan.
