Position National Sales Manager (NSM)

Location St Paul preferred – Remote (Quiet Space with Mobile and Internet Service)

Education College Degree Preferred

Reporting Manager General Manager

Summary

Pipeline Renewal Technologies (PRT)/MyTana with national, and direct channel distribution models, require a National Sales Manager (NSM) to lead the North American Regional Sales Managers (RSMs). PRT/MyTana are industry leading manufacturers and suppliers of sewer inspection, cleaning and rehab equipment, with a focus on inspection cameras, mechanical cleaning, UV curing products and accessories, air driven robotic cutters, and mechanical point repair. A successful NSM candidate will have experience in supporting, training, and selling capital equipment to municipalities, contractors and/or industrial accounts. NSM will support all sales and service activity for both business units, while maintaining the ability to conduct in the field equipment demonstrations and product trainings from both a sales and technical standpoint for both direct customers and sales partners. A qualified NSM will have a strong overall sales leadership mentality while training, mentoring and coaching the RSM team. NSM will need to develop complete product knowledge of existing PRT and MyTana products, as well as competitive industry products to better support product development, while driving sales to meet annual operating plan related to revenue, profit margin, and working capital objectives.

Key Skill Set Requirements

  • Ability to oversee daily operations of the National Sales Department

  • Ability to work in a team atmosphere, and productively amongst all PRT/MyTana business functions, sales, service, and operations teams, management, and shareholders

  • Develop and maintain product knowledge/application expertise on features and benefits of all equipment carried and sold by PRT/MyTana

  • Complete technical understanding of the cleaning, inspection, and rehabilitation product lines, as well as competitive products in the industry

  • Generate leads to divide amongst Regional Sales Reps

  • Setting targets to hit or exceed revenue forecasts

  • Develop and execute plans with RSMs to achieve annual equipment/revenue goals

  • Support RSM needs (strategy, pricing, training, time management, motivation, and coaching)

  • Assist RSMs and partner network in forecasting and growing future business on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis using a CRM Tool (Salesforce or equivalent)

  • Evaluate RSMs on a semi-annual and annual basis

  • Assist with trainings and development of the RSM and sales partner network on all current and new products

  • Provide consistency and discipline in sales process related to market communication, proposal writing, and order to cash process

  • Be a leader in marketplace, known as a knowledgeable resource with the ability to give presentations in various group sizes and settings

  • Offer the key result(s) that demonstrate your ability to impact a business

  • Assist with key account/high value sales opportunities both direct and through sales partners

  • Communication skills to establish, build, and maintain strong relationships by assessing customer/sales partner needs, and suggesting solutions through application of equipment sales and rentals

  • Work with the Senior Management Team to assist with product development, product specifications, market testing/feedback, and sales process development

  • Assist with trainings and development of the Technical Training and Support Team, and sales partner network, on all current and new products

  • Assist service team in establishing and supporting a Preventive Maintenance program for pipe rehabilitation equipment

  • Support the parts and service departments, both in-house and sales partners

  • Strong organizational, time management, and attention to detail in completing duties

  • Plan, organize, and execute specific sales, and product initiatives

  • Ability to work autonomously and be a self-starter

  • Perform all other requests deemed necessary to help promote and grow the business for PRT in respective territory or as assigned

  • Other duties as assigned

Minimum Skills and Experience

  • College Degree Preferred

  • Valid driver's license with ability to operate company vehicle with tow behind trailer.

  • Technical/Industrial Sales Experience: 5+ years

  • Customer Service: 3+ year

  • Proven successful track record in sales as well as leadership management

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and other software

  • Excellent and professional communication skills both verbally and written to customers and team members

  • Ability to bend, squat, or climb on equipment frequently. Stand or walk for extended periods on slippery or uneven jobsites. Ability to lift and maneuver equipment up to 150lbs with no assistance. May occasionally work in extremely hot or extremely cold weather conditions
