IDEX Inside Sales Representative in Vancouver, Washington

Responsible for providing support to the sales department while processing orders, preparing correspondence and fulfilling customer needs to ensure customer satisfaction. The Inside Sales Representative communicates lead times and all relative information to customers by telephone or e-mail and coordinates with other departments on execution of purchase orders, delivery information and technical service. The Inside Sales Representative collaborates with other members of the company’s management team to assist in establishing policies and procedures related to order processing and customer complaints. The Inside Sales Representative handles customer complaints and assists customers who have questions about the company’s billing statements, products or other concerns.


  • Performs all Customer Service activity related to the Inside Sales function. Builds influential customer relationships and provides excellent service by responding quickly, and accurately to customer and field sales inquiries.

  • Champion customer projects/initiatives by working with cross-functional teams to project completion and customer satisfaction.

  • Manages CRM for Leads and Opportunities for assigned customer base.

  • Provide feedback and contribute to the development of sales/customer service processes & best practices.

  • Assists in resolving credit matters. Verifies proper approval of customer credits and debits to ensure timely processing. Works with Finance to research and resolve misapplied payments.

  • Contributes to Micropump’s customer growth strategy. Participates in a team approach to selling to key accounts in which all personnel work as a cohesive group dedicated to increasing sales through customer satisfaction.

  • Effectively manages customer forecasts and pricing. Collects new data and maintains comprehensive historical data; analyzes all data and communicates to management relative information and recommendations that could impact future planning.


  • Provides on-the-job training for new employees.

  • Recommends and implements process improvements to increase productivity and/or eliminate waste.

  • Regular and reliable attendance.

  • Other duties as assigned.


Education and Experience:

  • Associates degree in a technical field, Business Administration or related field preferred

  • Three to five year’s customer service experience in sales within manufacturing environment preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience

  • Knowledge of ERP/MRP/CRM systems

Specific Skills:

  • Good oral and written communications skills

  • Excellent customer service skills with a focus toward quality and detail

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Strong planning and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities

  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office tools

  • Self-motivated with proven ability to work independently as well as in a team environment


  • Must have authorization to work in the United States of America and be able to have lawful access to controlled technology as required for this position.


  • Lift and carry up to 25 pounds occasionally

  • Regularly works in an office setting

  • Frequently required to stand, sit, talk and hear

  • Must be able to work in front of a computer and use a telephone for a large portion of the day
