SUMMARY

Responsible for providing support to the sales department while processing orders, preparing correspondence and fulfilling customer needs to ensure customer satisfaction. The Inside Sales Representative communicates lead times and all relative

information to customers by fax, telephone or e-mail and coordinates with other departments on execution of purchase orders, delivery information and technical service. The Inside Sales Representative collaborates with other members of the company’s management team to assist in

establishing policies and procedures related to order processing and customer complaints. The Inside Sales Representative handles customer complaints and assists customers who have questions about the company’s billing statements, products or other concerns.

Essential Functions

  • Performs all Customer Service activity related to the Inside Sales function.

  • Assures excellent customer relations.

  • Provides timely and accurate response to all customer and field sales inquiries, order placement, customer complaints, export compliance and engineering changes.Assures timely, effective, efficient and accurate order entry using JDE software application.

  • Conducts research to identify and resolve customer issues through collaboration with appropriate internal organizations and through use of JDE software.

  • Provides customers with product, technical, application and service information. Transfers customer calls regarding detailed technical/application inquiries to appropriate staff.Maintains an effective follow-up system for all open and active inquiries to ensure timely and conclusive response to the

  • customer.

  • Facilitates the resolution of customer complaints to provide a systematic review and prompt response to the customer.

  • Assists in resolving credit matters.

  • Verifies proper approval of customer credits and debits to ensure timely processing.

  • Works with Finance to research and resolve misapplied payments.

  • Researches and resolves billing or service complaints and refers grievances to appropriate department for investigation.

  • Contributes to Micropump’s customer growth strategy.

  • Participates in a team approach to selling to key accounts in which all personnel work as a cohesive

  • group dedicated to increasing sales through customer satisfaction.

  • Effectively manages customer forecasts and pricing.

  • Collects new data and maintains comprehensive historical data; analyzes all data and communicates to management relative information and recommendations that could impact future planning.

  • Views and prompts response to the customer with analysis of summary reports to assure early recognition and resolution of developing problems.

  • Recognizes, documents and alerts the Manager of trends in customer calls.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Provides on-the-job training for new employees.

  • Recommends and implements process improvements to increase productivity and/or eliminate waste.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Associates degree in a technical field, Business Administration or related field preferred.

  • Three to five year’s customer service experience in sales or manufacturing preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience

  • Experience with JDE operating system and CRM preferred

  • Knowledge of ERP/MRP systems

  • Good oral and written communications skills

  • Excellent customer service skills with a focus toward quality and detail

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Strong planning and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities

  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office tools

  • Self-motivated with proven ability to work independently as well as in a team environment

  • Abilities:

  • Must have authorization to work in the United States of America and be able to have lawful access to controlled technology as required for this position.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Lift and carry up to 25 pounds occasionally

  • Regularly works in an office setting

  • Frequently required to stand, sit, talk and hear

  • Must be able to work in front of a computer and use a telephone for a large portion of the day
