IDEX Sr. Commercial Lead in United States

PRIMARY FUNCTION:

To design, develop, establish, and lead the commercial strategy of the business unit and identify & provide the appropriate sales, marketing, and training tools necessary to exceed AOP, accelerate sustainable growth, and develop internal talent. The Commercial Lead at Richter Pumps and Valves will manage and lead the Regional Sales Managers, Business Development Lead, and Channel Management functions.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop and implement long-term commercial strategies. This includes managing new organizational sales structures, develop procedures to enable successful sales excellence implementation and training, new market penetration and growth strategies, process optimization, and channel development.

  • Lead sales initiatives and growth strategies through identification and qualification of new market and new product application opportunities.

  • Expand and optimize the channel partner network through identification and qualification of new distributors, and successful contract negotiation with new and existing distributors.

  • Lead and support the sales organization to grow opportunity share in key accounts and leverage existing relationships to expand new product and service opportunities.

  • Develop and maintain Key Account Plans.

  • Lead customer-driven solutions efforts by partnering with stakeholders throughout operations, engineering, sales, finance, and other teams.

  • Create actionable sales strategies for new market penetration and product line sales initiatives through the creation and implementation of PVM’s, market maps, and LITE targets.

  • Partner with General Management and Human Resources to provide training resources and talent development opportunities for the sales organization.

  • Drive new product development through continued Voice of Customer exercises, competitive landscape analysis, and applications observed during new market penetration.

  • Partner with cross-functional teams to optimize and streamline the sales process and go-to-market strategies.

  • Development of a living SWOT analysis and ongoing brand-positioning strategy.

  • Leverage customer relationships to maintain a high level of awareness and familiarity of key internal and external influencers (i.e., operations capabilities, economic shifts, compliance/regulatory issues, and relevant technology advances.)

  • Manage commercial and marketing resources in accordance with laid out commercial operating plans, company policies, and government and regulatory policies.

  • Continuous market monitoring and impact analysis of needs, trends, compliance, and other key influencers; takes corrective action when appropriate.

  • Join key industry associations and participate on committees. Engage customers and industry partners on social media.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • A college degree in Business, Management, or related field preferred.

  • A minimum of ten years’ experience in Industrial sales roles.

  • A minimum of five years’ experience in sales or product/market management roles preferred.

  • Demonstrated success in the areas of Sales Management, Sales Growth, and Business Intelligence.

  • Effective people manager with proven track record of leadership, motivation, and talent development

OTHER SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Flexible communication style.

  • Ability to adapt to the needs of a transformative organization.

  • Willingness to travel, including up to 50% overnight stay.

COMPUTER SKILLS:

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office products including, but not limited to, Word, Power Point, Excel, Outlook and Teams.

  • Familiarity with ERP and CRM automation programs.

  • Ability to effectively lead and participate in video conferences and maintain a high level of professionalism.

WORK ENVIRONMENT REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to move within office and manufacturing complex, write by hand and keyboard, and perform general office functions.

  • Ability to communicate by speech and hearing via phone and in person.

  • Visual acuity needed for close detail work and computer use.

  • General manufacturing, warehouse, and office environment.

ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS:

  • Must have the ability to effectively communicate with customers, suppliers, and all levels of corporate and company personnel.

  • Works closely with unit SLT, other IDEX business units, IDEX Strategic Account Management organization, Product Engineering, Human Resources, Finance, and IT.

Total Rewards

The compensation range for this position is $127,700.00 - $191,500.00, depending on experience. This position may be eligible for performance based bonus plan.
