To support our global Sales Team, we are seeking a colleague based remotely in Germany as

Key Account Manager (m/w/d) Analytical Instrumentation

Being the Key Account Manager (m/w/d) at IH&S you are responsible for developing and maintaining strong customer relationships with our Fluidics business while significantly driving sales success within the assigned major accounts in the Analytical Instrumentation market in Europe.

YOUR TASKS

  • Develop, manage, and guide sales activities in assigned major accounts

  • Create, review & update the strategic plan of key target customers. Monitor as well as modify the strategy as required based upon technology, product, geo-political, market, or competitive forces to optimize IH&S fluidics business resource efficiency and effectiveness

  • Constantly invest in developing the wider and deeper relationships with the key function decision markers in assigned major accounts

  • Utilize Salesforce for accurate recording of all customer information and maintain timely forecasting information

  • Manage and negotiate the agreements/contract including pricing with the assigned key account and other targeted accounts.

  • Develop strategy with sales leadership, marketing, and product managers to explore new customer and market opportunities and provide strategic feedback to IH&S teams

YOUR PROFILE

  • Completed university degree in Analytical Instrumentation (LC, MS) or related majors. Advanced degree preferred

  • 5+ year experience in B2B sales, preferably within the Analytical Instrumentation markets. Biotechnology and IVD markets are a plus

  • Must have proven experience closing large contracts, ideally with top global OEMs

  • Solid understanding of Liquid Chromatography and separation and analysis techniques such as Liquid Chromatography/Mass Spectrometry, Laboratory Automated Liquid Handling Systems

  • Knowledge of non-separation applications such as DNA sequencing, Genomics and Proteomics, Hematology/Flow Cytometry, and combinatorial chemistry

  • Excellent customer relationship skills & key account management skills

  • Business fluent language skills in English, other languages are a plus as well as willingness to travel internationally
